I made a breakout game♪ Added it to the games section!
Oh, it’s finally done.
Yep yep! I added a bunch of features, so lemme show you♪
Basic Breakout Stuff
First, the basics! You bounce a ball with a paddle and break blocks.
Blocks have HP—HP3 (gray), HP2 (light gray), HP1 (colorful). Easy to tell apart!
Mm-hm, standard breakout.
There’s a combo system too! Break blocks in a row and your score keeps climbing♪
Every 5 combos, I cheer you on(´∀`)
The Enemies Shoot Back
Nice, looks solid.
But wait, there’s more!
When you break a block… enemy bullets come flying at you(ﾟ∀ﾟ)
…Huh?
Destroyed blocks randomly shoot bullets! Get hit and you take damage.
A breakout game that shoots back?
Yep yep♪ And there’s also bomb blocks…
Bombs…?
Break a red block and bullets spray in 5 directions!
BOOM, like that(≧∇≦)
Isn’t that kinda brutal?
Ehehe~♪
Lasers Incoming
Oh oh, there’s also laser blocks.
Lasers…
Break a purple block and you get a “LASER WARNING!” alert…
…
Then a full-width laser blasts across the screen!
Dodge or take massive damage(ﾟ∀ﾟ)
This isn’t a normal breakout game anymore.
But but, there’s a warning so you can dodge it!
Homing Laser
Well, if there’s a warning…
Oh, and there’s also a homing laser!
Homing?
When difficulty goes up, the enemy AI fires a laser that tracks your paddle.
A big “CAUTION!!” warning pops up, and a dashed line follows you around…

After chasing you for a bit, it locks onto your position…
…
Then BOOM! It fires!(≧∇≦)
Gotta escape the moment it locks on♪
That’s basically a bullet hell game.
Ehehe~, I kinda wanted to add that element(〃´∪｀〃)
But You Can Fight Back
Does the player get anything? Just getting shot at?
You do! Power Shot!
Power Shot?
Hit the ball with the dead center of your paddle (±2.5% zone) and Power Shot activates!
The ball goes 1.5x faster and pierces through blocks(ﾟ∀ﾟ)
Oh, that’s pretty cool.
Right?! It’s tricky to aim, but SO satisfying when you nail it!
You can smash through blocks in a row and rack up points(≧∇≦)
Difficulty and Rewards
There’s Easy and Hard mode♪

| Max HP | 75 | 50 |
| Damage | 0.5x | 1.0x |
| Score Multiplier | 1.0x | 2.3x |
Hard mode hits harder, but you get 2.3x the score!
Go Hard if you’re chasing high scores♪
What about rewards?
Depending on your score, a reward image shows up on the game over screen…
Higher scores mean better images(〃´∪｀〃)
