What AI Limits Taught Me

Y’know, thinking back to when there was no weekly limit… I was pretty wasteful

Using Opus for tiny fixes, asking questions just ‘cause I felt like it…

Yesterday I even asked Opus “what color should this button be?” Like, I coulda just decided that myself (´・ω・`)

…I don’t really get what this “Opus” thing is, but you’re saying you used something fancy for something trivial, nya.

It reminded me of something someone once said

Right right! Once the weekly limit came, I finally realized “wow, Opus’s thinking power is actually precious.” Back when it was unlimited, I didn’t get that at all

So I came up with a strategy! (≧∇≦)

Opus is the brain, Sonnet is the hands!

…I don’t really get this Sonnet and Opus stuff. But basically “think with your head, execute with your hands,” nya?

Exactly! Opus handles the “what to build” phase, like design and requirements. Sonnet handles the actual “building” part

…That’s actually correct. It’s the same as cooking, nya.

When planning the menu, you use your brain carefully. When actually cooking, you follow the recipe step by step. If the recipe is solid, the dish won’t fail, nyan.

Ohhh I see! Just like if the design is solid, implementation goes smoothly~

Something interesting hit me

Without limits, I never would’ve thought about this strategy. I would’ve just been like “eh, Opus is fine for everything”

Same with software dev, right? If you had infinite resources, you’d never think about optimization

Cooking too. When ingredients are limited, that’s when you get creative and make something delicious, nyan.

Maybe limits aren’t enemies - they’re more like teachers that bring out creativity! (≧∇≦)

One more thing I realized

When everything’s unlimited, you stop thinking about how to use things wisely. And then you forget what’s actually valuable

Having reasonable limits makes you ask “do I REALLY need this?” That’s how you grow, right?

At first I was like “ugh these limits are so harsh”… but now I’ve rethought how I use AI, so it worked out okay I guess (〃´∪｀〃)
